Mark inner classes as static if possible 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
We don't need a reference to the parent in any of these.

Tame WebController logging 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
This patch also modifies the circuitOpensAfterManyErrors test so that it emits an exception that doesn't get logged as error by default so that test logs don't get polluted with stacktraces that we don't care about.

Only run the breaker in the searching threads 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
Now we only fire completion/timeout events based on the time to search, not for the whole async pipeline. Search is the only expensive thing that happens, after that it's pretty much just IO so I think it's better to just flush it down the pipe instead of aborting the whole thing.

Make RecipeMetadataDatabase interface use List<> 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
Iterable<> is just too useless for this use case.

Merge branch 'rocker-strikes-back' 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
Switch to type checked templates. While my simple performance testing workloads didn't show any significant latency benefits from this change, GC logs showed what I was really gunning for. Stats from my longest running test: * Mustache: - Total created bytes: 11.44Gb - Number of GCs: 45 * Rocker: - Total created bytes: 8.68Gb - Number of GCs: 35

Update tablier to 0.1.3 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
This update is a full-on rewrite using rocker. Once integration is complete we'll be able to drop everything mustache.

Merge branch 'mustache' 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
Finally and officially move away from Rocker templates in favour of Mustache. This branch contains a ton more things than just mustache since it became the baseline for development for a while. After this merge I hope I'll be able to keep my feature branches under control :P

Point to the initial tablier release 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
It's high time I merge this into mainline even: if it doesn't look dandy yet, things are totally usable.
-
Merge branch 'chronicle-map' into mustache 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
Adds support for a new metadata database backed by Chronicle-Map and switches to using it by default. I don't have serious experience running lmdb nor chronicle-map under load, but I'll stick to chronicle map for now because: - The code turned out to be simpler - The database size is smaller (2G vs 2.4G) - No copy of strings that aren't used (namely: RecipeMetadata.instructions) - Copying only happens in the template rendering layer

Wrap up ChronicleRecipeMetadataDatabase 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
This patch changes a bit the RecipeMetadataDatabase interface to support (again) the `close()` method, drops the weird `Builder` construct in favor of per-implementation static methods and adds missing tests.

Organize how configuration properties are set up 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
As settings are growing, the code started to look messy. This patch isolates the service configuration into a `cerberus.properties` file and makes sure db settings don't clash.

Use JSoup and CSS selectors to check html results 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
This is still somewhat error prone, but a lot less error prone than checking `String.contains` results.

Add jsoup as a test dependency by Caio 7 years ago
-
Disable index search when the circuit breaker is open 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
BodyContentSpec.xpath() assumes pure valid XML, so using it for a more decent set of tests doesn't work. I'll follow this up with jsoup or similar because String.contains() is a bit too error prone for my taste.

Rename Renderer to ModelView 💬 by Caio 7 years ago
The renderer doesn't render anything, so the name never made much sense. I think `ModelAndView` is what the cool kids are using these days, so `ModelView` sounds close enough.
